2. What information we collect

We only collect information you choose to provide when you contact us:

• Name — so we know who we are speaking with
• Email address — to respond to your enquiry
• Phone number or WhatsApp number — if you contact us by phone or WhatsApp
• Stay details — preferred dates, number of guests, any special requirements you share

We do not collect payment information. Payments for bookings made via external platforms (LekkeSlaap) are handled entirely by those platforms under their own privacy and payment terms.

This website does not currently use any analytics tracking scripts. No visitor browsing data is collected or sent to third parties by this site.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to:

• Respond to your enquiry about accommodation, activities or a stay
• Confirm or arrange a direct booking
• Share practical information (directions, arrival times, gate codes) relevant to your stay

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with any third party for marketing purposes. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

4. External booking platforms

If you choose to book through LekkeSlaap, you will be transferred to their platform. LekkeSlaap has its own privacy policy and terms. Kwaggashoek Game Ranch has no control over data collected by that platform and is not responsible for its practices. Please review their policy before completing a booking.

5. WhatsApp

When you message us via WhatsApp, your message is handled by WhatsApp (Meta Platforms). Kwaggashoek Game Ranch reads and responds to your message to assist with your enquiry. We do not store WhatsApp conversations in any separate database.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry correspondence (email and WhatsApp) for as long as it is relevant to an ongoing or recent stay, and no longer than three years after your last interaction with us, unless a longer period is required by South African law.

7. How we protect your information

This website is served over HTTPS (encrypted connection). Direct email enquiries are held in a password-protected mailbox. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

8. Your rights under POPIA

As a data subject under POPIA, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion — request that we delete your personal information where we no longer have a lawful reason to hold it
• Objection — object to the processing of your information for any purpose
• Complaint — lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa
